I'm Cole Kirkpatrick - a concept artist and illustrator with a passion for making games.
In 2018, I will be graduating Champlain College of Vermont as a Game Art and Animation major.
My strengths lie in unique creature and character design, and I'm still strong in environmental concepts and more as well. I'm proud of my ability to adapt to new styles, and it has helped me in making the games I've made so far.
In the games I've made so far, I've worked as a lead artist, concept artist, animator, background artist, and more often than not, all four of these all at once

Game Dev Work
Lucha Megadrive is the project I've focused on in Fall 2017. In this fast paced fighting game, flash and flare are essential - along with precise, frame by frame perfect animations, in order to make combat feel good.
While I've worked on this project as Lead Artist, and as I continue on into the next phase of development, my job has been to...
It's an ongoing work in progress, so assets are not final. Our character models and environments are being revamped to get a higher poly count in January 2018.
I am extremely excited to continue working on this game through the next semester. If you want to see a bit more about it you can watch our trailer, or our presentation.
Hyper Neon Fishing
In spring 2017, I worked as Lead Artist for Hyper Neon fishing - a game about a funky fresh bird that dives underwater in order to catch the neon fish of the deep, using a disco ball helmet.
During the three months we worked on this project, I contributed....
It was a big learning experience, delving into the depths of game art in action! If you want to see more of my first game, visit Hyper Neon Fishing's website, or download it on our Itchio page and play it!
A short project that involved making several environment, fauna, and flora illustrations. These were all made to look like those that would be found in a field guide. In the end, I put them together in Adobe InDesign, along with text descriptions of each.
